In design, the use of gear shafts is generally limited to the following situations:

3. The gear shaft is rarely used as a sliding gear for speed change, and is generally a fixed running gear. One reason is that it is at a high speed level, and its high speed is not suitable for sliding speed change.
4. Gear shaft is a combination of shaft and gear as a whole. However, during design, it is still necessary to shorten the length of the shaft as much as possible. If it is too long, it is not conducive to upper gear hobbing machine processing, and if the support of the shaft is too long, it will lead to shaft thickening and increase mechanical strength (such as rigidity, deflection, bending resistance, etc.).
